Water Treatment Chemicals for Food & Beverage Plants

Food and beverage plants use steam for cooking and sterilising, cooling and refrigeration for storage, and RO for process and bottling water. We supply programmes for these utility systems and advise on product suitability wherever steam or water may come close to the product.

What we measure

Water Parameters We Watch

The readings that matter most in food and beverage plants — tracked from your first analysis through monthly reviews.

  • Boiler feed hardness & oxygenSmall low-pressure boilers scale and pit quickly without internal treatment.
  • Condenser scaleRaises refrigeration head pressure and compressor power.
  • Microbial countHygiene control in condensers and towers near production areas.
  • RO feed hardness & SDIKeep process and bottling water output steady between cleanings.
  • Steam useWhether any steam contacts product decides which boiler treatment is suitable.
Common problems

What We Solve

  • Fuel cost in steam systemsScale on boiler tubes increases fuel use on every batch.
  • Refrigeration efficiencyScaled condensers make compressors work harder, raising power bills.
  • Hygiene in cooling waterBacteria and algae in towers are controlled with a planned biocide schedule.
  • Direct-steam applicationsTell us if steam contacts the product — we will recommend suitable treatment and documentation.

Why Food Plants Work with Kranti Water

  • Simple single-product options for small low-pressure boilers
  • Advice on product suitability where steam may touch food
  • Technical data sheet (TDS) and MSDS with every product
Questions

Food & Beverage FAQ

Can boiler treatment be used where steam contacts food?

Tell us before we quote. Direct or culinary steam needs a different approach — for example, hydrazine-based oxygen scavengers are not used in those systems — and we will advise suitable treatment and documentation.

Do you treat evaporative condensers in cold storage?

Yes. They face the same scale and biofouling problems as cooling towers, and scale directly raises compressor power, so we treat them with a cooling water programme.

We have one small low-pressure boiler. Is a programme worth it?

Usually yes. Our single-product treatment for low-pressure boilers keeps dosing simple, and scale on boiler tubes adds fuel cost on every batch.
